“At the end of November, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) launched an effort to discredit news coverage of its registration of pesticides considered ‘forever chemicals.’ The agency had proposed registering five of those pesticides beginning in April and had approved two of them. National media, including Civil Eats, reported the story.
Under the OECD’s definition, the five new pesticides are PFAS. Under the EPA’s narrow definition, they’re not.
Meanwhile, the EPA has sought to further distance its approvals from the ‘forever chemical’ stigma.” …
