“LANSING, MI — It’s déjà vu all over again.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) has initiated another legal dispute with the U.S. Air Force over its compliance with a state law governing the cleanup of PFAS chemicals at the former Wurtsmith air base.

The state, which has long struggled to exercise oversight of the military-led cleanup in Oscoda, invoked a new dispute on Oct. 8 alleging that the Air Force is moving ahead with a new treatment system plan this year under the wrong state environmental law.”…
