“HALLOWELL (WGME) – In Hallowell, leaders are in the process of getting forever chemicals out of their drinking water.
Back in 2021, a new law required all public water systems and water at certain schools and child care facilities to be tested.
That turned up elevated levels of forever chemicals.
About 20 people come to the Hallowell Water District each day to pick up some PFAS-free water from a spigot. It was installed earlier this year after testing revealed elevated levels of forever chemicals in the water.”…
