“MASHPEE – The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe has partnered with an environmental group to screen a documentary about the dangers of toxic chemicals that were recently detected on Cape Cod.

The Devil We Know is a documentary covering a scandal in West Virginia where a company was found to have knowingly dumped PFAS chemicals into the drinking water supply. The film covers the efforts of local residents to responding to the issue.

Those same chemicals were detected on Cape Cod in recent years in the Hyannis water wells.

The film will be screened at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe’s Government and Community Center on Great Neck Road South on October 16 at 6 p.m.

The screening will be co-hosted by the Tribe, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, and the Barnstable Clean Water Coalition.”
