Suspected source: Industrial use of PFAS at Central Metal Fishing, Inc. in Windham
In June of 2017, NHDES issued a press release announcing that drinking water well results for properties in the Lexington and Ledge Road area of Windham showed elevated levels of PFAS, including PFOS and PFOA. Four wells tested above the state Ambient Groundwater Quality Standard (AGQS) of 70 parts per trillion (ppt), ranging from 70.4 ppt to 396 ppt.
