CALL FOR POSTERS: 2019 Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances: Second National Conference

The Organizing Committee for the “2019 Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances: Second National Conference” invites submission of abstracts related to scientific, technical, regulatory, and social questions regarding PFAS. The conference will be held June 10-12 at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. The poster sessions will take place on June 12th. The focus of the conference is building cross-sector alignment to support communities impacted by PFAS contamination and share emerging insights into PFAS exposure and health concerns.

Keynote presentations will be given by Linda Birnbaum (Director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences) and Gina McCarthy (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and past U.S. EPA Administrator).

Poster Information: Poster presentations should cover emerging and cutting edge research on topics related to PFAS exposure, health concerns and toxicity, chemistry and detection, occupational exposures, contaminated sites, political and economic considerations, regulation, and other relevant topics. Posters should be 4’x3’ or 3’x4’ in size.

Poster abstract submissions should include: presentation title; all authors and affiliations; abstract of 300 words including background, methods, and findings; and funding sources and disclosures.

Abstract due date: May 1, 2019. Acceptance decisions will be made by May 10.
