Suspected contamination source: Firefighting foam used at Fairchild Air Force Base (Glover, 2017)
The affected wells have been shut off from the system as part of a flushing process and Airway Heights is pumping water into its system from Spokane to meet demand during the flushing period. Residents whose water supply was found to have levels above the health advisory level were notified and provided bottled water by the Air Force “immediately after preliminary results were received.”
