Study on forever chemicals in Casco Bay nears completion amid rising PFAS concerns

“A three-year study on the impacts of forever chemicals in Casco Bay is nearly complete. It took on new relevance following the PFAS spill in Brunswick last year.

Casco Bay is an inlet of the Gulf of Maine. It embraces 14 coastal communities, including Portland.

Towards the southern end you’ll even spot the Portland Head Light, the state’s iconic lighthouse. The Friends of Casco Bay is a community of scientists and others who care about this special bay.” …
