“Portsmouth mom and environmental activist Andrea Amico has learned a lot since her three children and husband were exposed to dangerous PFAS chemicals from contaminated drinking water.

Like many, Amico did not know what PFAS were when the city announced the Haven Well at the former Pease Air Force Base had been contaminated with the forever chemicals.

Ten years later, she has become a nationally known clean water advocate who successfully pushed for a major health study on people exposed to PFAS at Pease, and greater protection from the chemicals.” …
