NH House to vote on proposed ban of certain PFAS products

“House lawmakers on Thursday will decide whether to send onto the Senate a proposed ban on certain products with intentionally added PFAS.

House Bill 1649, sponsored by New London Democrat Rep. Karen Ebel, is coming from the House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee with an “ought to pass” recommendation of 16-3. 

It would ban, effective July 1, 2028, the sale and distribution in New Hampshire of the following products with added per- and polyfluorinated substances, or PFAS:
