 “A conference discussing research and policy on chemicals called PFAS starts Monday.

The ‘Great Lakes Virtual PFAS Summit’ is a week-long event where policymakers, environmentalists and researchers can learn about how to address the threat posed by PFAS.

Some of the chemicals have been linked to cancer. It takes a very long time for the chemicals to break down.

Great Lakes PFAS Action Network co-chair Sandy Wynn-Stelt says she’s encouraged by the number of scheduled out-of-state speakers.”…
