“PFOA, PFOS among compounds discovered
Two potentially cancer-causing chemicals were found in water systems on Fort Bragg, a report released Thursday said.

what about before those dates I was there in 76- 78 can show that chemicals.were not in the water tthen?
Hi Willie, we don’t know of any testing data showing PFAS contamination back in the 70s. It is unlikely that test method were available then to look for PFAS in water at that time, and we haven’t seen any PFAS exposure data going back that far. All the testing data we know about are included in the Tracker.
Do you have any reports dating 1990-1995 for Fort Bragg N.C.
Hi Laura, unfortunately we haven’t found reports from those years. However, these articles published in 2020 may be relevant to what you’re looking for: https://www.fayobserver.com/story/news/2020/04/03/chemicals-found-in-fort-bragg-water-systems-report-says/41772291/ https://www.ewg.org/news-insights/news-release/foia-data-tap-water-28-military-bases-tainted-forever-chemicals-above
Is there a report on quality of water at Fort Bragg in 1960s
Hi Linda, unfortunately, it’s unlikely that there is any water quality data from the 1960s because many of the tests that are currently used for chemicals like PFAS weren’t available yet. If you want to see information on recent testing at Fort Bragg, you can find it here: https://www.ewg.org/sites/default/files/u352/PFAS%20Detections%20in%20DOD%20DW%5B1%5D_0.pdf?_ga=2.166221303.819689215.1665674845-1876339039.1656609961
